• Get allocation for additional classroom teachers allowing the school to have smaller teacher to student ratios
• Get additional and more frequent contact with specials classes/teachers such as art, physical education and drama that would not otherwise be part of the curriculum.

The givers:

• Get a tax deduction for any amount contributed. (i.e. $500 only costs about $350 after taxes; $20/month only costs about $14/month after taxes.)
• Get the BIG benefit of participating in the increase in property values that comes with great neighborhood schools.
• Get to avoid private school tuition by having the best option right around the block.

If you’re not sure what amount to pick, how about $1/day for each school day for each child attending Bill Roberts?  There are 171.5 student contact days in the 2008/09 school year so that’s only $171.50/child or $14.29/month (over a 12 month period)!
